AdMaven Review for Publishers

AdMaven is a popular online ad platform that focuses on pop-under ads.  A pop-under has been a staple of many publishers’ monetization mix.  This is 

typically when a website is clicked and a new page will open.  Often mistaken as the pop-up windows, this type of advertising opens the new page underneath the main website.

All in all, the AdMaven offers publishers a vast pool of advertisers. That is why they offer around 500 million daily impressions to advertisers. –What we like about AdMaven:

The CPM rates for AdMaven are high.  Hence, the revenue and return on traffic for publishers are strong.  The company developed their own in-house RTB technology.  The real-time bidding system typically connects and associates different networks.  When the user visits a website, the details are sent to the ad exchange where the advertisers bid for ad space on the site.

AdMaven ensures the use of the most modern software algorithms to have their publishers get the highest bids and strong overall CPMs. The company aims to get the best price for the publisher.

Notably, the presence of different ad options is one of the reasons why AdMaven is quite good to have.  These ad options include:

• Pop-under ads
• Pop-up banner ad
• Slider ad
• Interstitial ads
• Lightbox ads
• VPN banner

Plus, these ads are easy to work with. Publishers can monetize their inventory with many type of formats that enable a diverse ad revenue mix. This allows publishers to decrease their business risk by diversifying the revenue portfolio.

Another thing we like is that the Ad-Maven products including Lightbox and Interstitial ads are fully compliant with Google Adblock which is scheduled to launch in January 2018. Which means that all of the Ad-Maven products and ads will not be blocked.

What we liked the least about AdMaven:

The payout period is basically thirty days after the last day of the month.  For example, if the earnings are completed by October, the period for which you are allowed to pay these funds out would be first week of December.  This is more than thirty days after the earnings of the month.

It would be better if AdMaven had promotional offers with their connections and advertisers.  This could mean that bonuses and rewards for affiliates were added to their platform. If a publisher were to take advantage of this promotion offer, they could get Net 15 or Net 5 payments. However, AdMaven does offer manual referral links for publishers and affiliates that are interested in earning commissions.

Publisher Requirements:  5 out of 5

The site is strict when it comes to restriction for its publishers.  It is not allowed to use connections that are promoting child pornography.  The publisher is also prohibited from using the ads and materials or tools gained from the platform in other software forms of publishing without permission from AdMaven.  The advertiser must also be careful with its ads and landing pages.  It should be free from malware or harmful viruses and the company reserves the right to block any account that doesn’t comply to the guidelines.  Furthermore, any vulgar words or any form of harassment should be avoided by the publisher.

Campaign Guide Highlights

Among the most interesting aspects of the AdMaven system is the step-by-step guide in creating a marketing ad campaign.  This is guide is quite useful because creating an ad campaign is no easy task. Another good thing about AdMaven is the fact that publishers have a guide that selects the time and location you want the ads to be in, down to the domain lists that you want to avoid.  The guide is helpful for the beginners in online ad marketing.

Tech Implementation and Ads: 4 out of 5

AdMaven has a wide array of different advertising tools to choose from.  It offers ads with different sizes for the publisher to use on the site.  As a leader of the full-page industry, the company offers landing pages that will attract visitors and increase the CPM commissions and earnings.

Variety seems to be what the tech tools that AdMaven offers, and they certainly have some of it. If there is an impressive tech tool that AdMaven offers, it is their improved real-time bidding system.

Real Time Bidding is basically the algorithm used to detect the user and its demographics.  In essence, the system that AdMaven offers will allow for it to detect the location, the recent search preferences, and interests of the user.  Thus, it will tag the ads that are connected to the user because they are interested in it.  As a result, this will allow the publisher to display their ads to the online user and get a higher impression conversion rate.

Interface System: 4 out of 5

The interface for the publisher to check ad impressions and ad movements is easy to use.  It comes with the site’s management section that allows the user to track and monitor the site impressions.  It would seem wise for the interface to also have graphical presentations of the sites development for a specific timeframe.  Another good thing, though, about the interface system of AdMaven is it comes with the revenue comparison board.  It gets the publisher to notice the earnings he/she makes each day and for the last month.

There are 4 basic payout methods offered by AdMaven for its users:

• PayPal
• Payoneer
• Wire Transfers
• Bitcoin

For the first two, the publisher can payout their earnings for as low as $50 while the wire transfers require the publisher to accumulate $1000 or more.  Charges for the first two payouts are free but Pay Pal may charge its own fees.  For the wire transfers, there is a charge of $40. For minimum payout on Bitcoin is $500 and Admaven does not charge any fee, but to get money on it AdMaven will send $1- $5 for test before all transferred. However, payout period required is 30 days after the end of each month.

AdMaven also offers a direct account manager to assist the needs of the publisher.  This means that if there are any queries and clarifications, the account manager will be the primary contact.  The main target of the manager is to make sure their publishers achieve their earnings.  An email for publishers is also provided as well as a hotline to make inquiries from.

However, online support systems are typically lacking for the company.  As most of the online publishers needs access to customer care, it would seem practical to have online support where users can chat for queries or concerns instead of just emails.  The hotline number would work but most publishers prefer to have online chat systems as they are also online doing their marketing.  Publishers also have the ability to use an instant messenger app on-site to contact Ad Maven’s support. This makes fixing issues and getting questions answered within hours, much easier.
